Default Whistler CD Soundtrack Listings

According to a few sources I have consulted on the Internet, the Whistler CD Soundtrack will contain the following tracks:

1. Every Page You Turn - Boy (Episode 108)
2. She's The Source - Small Sins (Episode 102)
3. Carousel - The Mark Inside (Episode 107)
4. Turn The Lights On - Pilot Speed - (Future episode)
5. The Grace - The Never Ending White Lights (Episode 106)
6. Never Ends - The Marble Index (Episode 107)
7. A Hundred Million Feathers - Tangiers (Episode 105)
8. The Messenger - C'Mon (Episode 103)
9. Its A Long Life To Always - Hawksley Workman (Episode 107)
10. City Of Daggers - Controller Controller (Future episode)
11. Working Out Words - The Diableros (Episode 108)
12. Ordinary Day - The Dirtmitts (Series Main and Ending Title)
13. Dose - Catlow (Future episode)

I have also seen the album cover and it clearly says "Volume One" so I must assume another album is in the works, probably for season two should there be one. The CD release in Canada is August 22.

I have Pilot Speed’s CD Caught by the Window, from back in the day when they were Pilate. It’s worth owning because it’s one of those wonderful recordings on which every track is a winner. It does a frequent rotation through my CD player, so I was happy to see the Whistler soundtrack only has one track, “Turn the Lights On,” from Pilot Speed's new CD.

What concerns me more is that promos for the soundtrack are now on TV, and they saying to watch Whistler on Sundays at 10.

Come on, CTV, work with us here! We’re trying to get people to watch the show, not confuse the heck out of them.

Although I hate to say it here on CTV's own forum, but someone in CTV's promotions department should be fired for that mistake. Obviously the commercial was produced a while ago and no one thought to check it after CTV made the time change (since CTV never envisioned they would have to make the time change).

I'm sorry to say that CTV has done an incredibly poor job of promoting this show. I can only think of one reason why and I hope I am wrong. But, it is possible that the folks who green-lighted the series originally way back in early 2005 are no longer in charge of CTV and the current people don't want to see the show succeed. Bound by public commitment to air the show, and with a U.S. partner, The-N, demanding episodes, any new people who don't like the series would be forced to air it but could certainly deny it the proper promotion, change its air time with few announcements, fail to notify the company that is running Whsitler's two websites of any changes (which actually has happened), not update the commercial for the CD Soundtrack, etc.

I do hope I am wrong but I have seen this kind of thing happen before. I was involved in a TV series made in Toronto for a U.S. cable network from 2001-2005. The folks running the cable network who originally put it on the air put a lot of effort into promoting it and made it into a hit. Then, in its third season, those folks left the network and a new regime was installed that wanted to take the network in a different direction. Although our series was allowed to continue until season five, the amount of promotion and effort significantly decreased and each year we were allowed to produce fewer episodes.

I definitely hope this doesn't happen to Whistler but I'm afraid the damage may already have been done.

Guess I didn't see it there...ooops. I'm still looking for the name Pilate.

Mickie- I'm a huge Pilate/Pilot Speed fan, and have been from the release of Caught by the Window as well. Their music was what drew me to the show.
